About This Project
Chill Like a Capybara
For my card, I wanted to keep the additional supplies to a minimum and create a fairly simple design featuring the adorable Chill, Capybara! set.
I stamped the capybara and the smaller images from the set and coloured them using the coordinating Chill, Capybara! Colouring Stencils and Lawn Fawn inks. I then cut everything out with the coordinating Chill, Capybara! Lawn Cuts and stamped “Have a Chill Day” inside the little speech bubble.
For the centre of my card, I created a simple scene on a square piece of white cardstock. I ink blended a soft blue sky and green grass onto the square before arranging my images on top.
To turn the little scene into a Polaroid, I cut a rectangle from Speckled Eggshell Cardstock and adhered the white square on top. I then used a ruler and a black pen to draw a simple frame around the square, giving it that classic Polaroid look. I finished it with the “Chill Like a Capybara!” sentiment along the bottom.
For the background, I used the Capybaras! Washi Tape included in the kit in a slightly different way. I roughly cut out the individual capybaras to turn them into little stickers and scattered them across a piece of Mist Cardstock. I deliberately chose a cardstock colour that closely matches the background of the washi tape, so the cut edges almost disappear and the capybaras look like part of a patterned background.
It’s a simple way to get a little more out of the supplies in the kit, while still keeping the number of additional cardmaking supplies fairly small.
