Lawn Fawn’s Winter 2026 Inspiration and Release Week continues! Today we’re introducing the adorable A Mice Christmas, the new Pinecone and Leaves Border and Charlie’s ABCs.
For my card, I decided to use the Pinecone and Leaves Border a little differently. Instead of keeping the border intact, I cut it apart and used the individual branches to build an elegant Christmas wreath around a large Giant Season’s Greetings sentiment.

About This Project
The starting point for my card was the new Pinecone and Leaves Border. Rather than using it as a border, I die-cut it several times from Forest Teal, Mermaid, Mist, Peacock and Tide Pool Cardstock, then cut the individual branches apart. I arranged them randomly around a circle, alternating the different shades of turquoise until they formed a full, dimensional wreath.
I also incorporated some of the pinecones from the Pinecone and Leaves Border, die-cutting them from Kraft Cardstock. To give them a slightly frosty look, I added a little white coloured pencil to the tips before finishing them with touches of glitter.
For a softer contrast against all those shades of turquoise, I added three poinsettias using the flower dies from Magic Iris Holly Wreath Add-On. I die-cut each flower twice from Blush Cardstock and layered the pieces for extra dimension. The centres were cut from Kraft Sparkle Cardstock, tying them in with the kraft pinecones throughout the wreath.
The large Giant Season’s Greetings sentiment sits right across the centre of the wreath. I cut it from Rose Gold Metallic Cardstock, which adds another warm neutral to the colour palette and coordinates beautifully with the blush flowers and kraft details.
For the background, I used the Quilted Diamond Backdrop on white cardstock. I wanted a little sparkle to show through the tiny openings in the design, so I used the same die with an embossing mat on a second panel. The embossed pattern showed me exactly where the openings of the top panel would sit, allowing me to add tiny dots of Star Dust Stickles in just the right places before layering the die-cut panel over the top.
The result is a fairly classic Christmas wreath design, but the muted shades of turquoise combined with blush, kraft and rose gold give it a soft and elegant look that feels quite different from traditional Christmas colours.
