Lawn Fawn Fall Inspiration & Release Week – Fall Mice Ta-Da! Diorama Card

We’re continuing with the Lawn Fawn Fall Inspiration & Release Week, and this project features the adorable new Fall Mice stamp set together with the new Leaf and Acorn Border die. Today’s release also includes the new Outside In Stitched Acorn, Stitched Acorn Frame and Scripty Thanks Outline Add-On, which I’ll be featuring in a second project later today.

For this card, I turned the new products into an interactive autumn scene using the Ta-Da! Diorama! die and the Ta-Da! Diorama! Heart Window Add-On. At first, the card shows a heart-shaped wreath of colourful autumn leaves, but as the sides are pulled open, the little mice appear inside for a fun surprise.

About This Project

One of my favourite things about the Ta-Da! Diorama! die is that the card folds completely flat for mailing, but once you pull the sides open, it transforms into a dimensional shadow box. There are several different window options available, and for this card I chose the Ta-Da! Diorama! Heart Window Add-On.

To give the heart-shaped opening a cosy autumn look, I arranged lots of leaves from the new Leaf and Acorn Border around the edge, creating the look of a heart-shaped wreath. I kept the colour palette soft with shades of pink, cream and light brown, and stamped the “Autumn Greetings!” sentiment from Fall Mice in a matching light brown inside the heart.

Inside the card, I created a playful autumn scene with the new Fall Mice enjoying the leaves and having fun with the season. I used the Ta-Da! Diorama! Simple Hillside and Grassy Inserts to give them a grassy layer to sit on and help anchor the scene inside the shadow box.

To finish the card, I added a little Ranger Star Dust Stickles to the leaves for some subtle sparkle and cut the tiny bow from Build-A-Potion Bottle from Sparkle Cardstock – Kraft for one more shimmery detail.
