We’re continuing with the Lawn Fawn Fall Inspiration & Release Week, and this project features two more fun new additions to the fall release: Build-A-Potion Bottle and Happy Ghost Tag!
I combined them to create a playful Halloween card with a mostly black-and-white colour scheme and just a few pops of pattern. The little ghost is holding his very own potion bottle, which I turned into a shaker filled with tiny stars and chunky glitter for some Halloween magic.

About This Project
For this card, I turned the new Happy Ghost Tag into a regular card element by simply cutting off the little loop at the top that would normally be used to attach the tag. I cut the ghost from white Shimmer Cardstock – Neutrals and used his foldable arms to hold the new Build-A-Potion Bottle. I dressed her up with the pretty bow from Big Hugs Ghost.
I turned the potion bottle into a tiny shaker and filled it with Rainbow Star Clay Pieces and Chunky Glitter. The colourful stars were a little too bright for the black-and-white look I had in mind, so I kept some of the white ones and coloured a few others with a black Copic marker. It worked surprisingly well and gave me shaker pieces that matched my colour scheme perfectly!
For another little playful detail, I added the tiny tag included in the die set to the bottle and heat embossed “treats!” from Sweet Spiders in white. I loved the idea that the bottle is actually filled with treats—because, of course, it’s “No tricks, just treats!”
To create the background, I used the Spiderweb Backdrop, but modified it by cutting away the outer frame and then cutting the remaining cobweb into several pieces. This allowed me to position the webs exactly where I wanted them around the focal panel, which I created using the new Stripes ’n Sprinkles Autumn Petite Paper Pack.
