Lawn Fawn Fall Inspiration & Release Week – All the Witch Hats Mini Slimline Card

We’re continuing the Lawn Fawn Fall Inspiration & Release Week with another Halloween project! After my interactive I Like Cute Moth card, this one is a much simpler design featuring the new All the Witch Hats.

I created a 3” × 6” mini slimline card and combined the tiny witch hats with Hocus Purr-cus!, the new Hocus Purr-cus! Add-On, and the oversized Giant Trick or Treat sentiment. I kept the colour palette mostly dark and neutral, with little touches of purple, yellow and green for a fun witchy Halloween look.

About This Project

The large Giant Trick or Treat sentiment became the centrepiece of my mini slimline design. I die cut it from Black Sparkle Cardstock, which adds plenty of sparkle while still keeping the mostly black and grey colour scheme.

For the background, I used grey patterned papers from the new Stripes ’n Sprinkles Autumn Petite Paper Pack. I added a torn piece of vellum across the centre to soften the patterned background behind the large sentiment without completely covering it.

The adorable little witch hats from the new All the Witch Hats were perfect for decorating the sentiment and tying the whole design together. I combined them with the witchy cat, broom and magical books and potions from Hocus Purr-cus! and the new Hocus Purr-cus! Add-On. I used the coordinating stencils and my Lawn Fawn inks to colour the stamped images, which made it quick and easy to add the different colours while keeping the soft, slightly muted look of the card.

I especially like how the tall and narrow mini slimline format gives the oversized sentiment plenty of room while still leaving space for all those little Halloween details.
